Mawaqif is Abu Dhabi's paid street-parking system, operated through the Integrated Transport Centre and accessed through the Mawaqif and TAMM Abu Dhabi apps. It applies across most of Abu Dhabi island and key mainland districts.
What it does
Standard hourly rates apply during paid hours (typically 8am–midnight; free overnight and on most Fridays). Drivers pay by SMS (sending plate number and zone to 6622), through the Mawaqif app, through the TAMM Abu Dhabi app, or at solar-powered meters. Penalties for non-payment, expired parking or wrong-zone parking are issued by Abu Dhabi Police and can be checked through the TAMM portal. Mawaqif also operates the resident-permit scheme for street parking near home.
