RERA is the Real Estate Regulatory Agency in Dubai, the regulatory arm of the Dubai Land Department (DLD) responsible for licensing brokers, regulating leasing, and publishing the RERA Rent Index.
What it does
RERA licenses real-estate brokers, developers, and management companies; runs the Ejari tenancy-registration system; publishes the RERA Rent Index that caps annual rent increases on existing leases; and operates the Real Estate Self-Transaction (REST) platform for property transfers. The Rental Disputes Settlement Centre (RDC) handles landlord-tenant disputes.
