BFC Exchange UAE is the UAE arm of Bahrain Financing Company — one of the oldest exchange houses in the Gulf, founded in 1917. With around 25 to 40 UAE branches, it offers a competitive, heritage-led alternative to the larger Al Ansari and LuLu networks, especially for the UAE-Bahrain corridor.

Wise is a digital-only money transfer service operating in the UAE since 2018, sending funds to 80+ currencies at the mid-market exchange rate plus a transparent percentage fee. There are no physical branches — transfers are initiated through the Wise app or website, and the service is typically 20–50% cheaper than traditional UAE exchange houses for major corridors.

Unimoni is the UAE-licensed exchange house formed from the rebrand of UAE Exchange after the 2020 Finablr collapse. With around 150 branches nationwide, it offers remittance, foreign exchange, WPS payroll, and bill payments under tighter Central Bank oversight.

Al Ansari Exchange is the UAE's largest money exchange house — founded in Dubai in 1966, listed on the DFM in 2024, and operating 230-plus branches across all seven emirates. It is the default walk-in choice for cash currency exchange, outward remittance, Western Union, and salary cards.
