ADEK is the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge, the emirate regulator for private schools, nurseries, and education quality assurance in Abu Dhabi. Formerly known as ADEC.
What it does
ADEK inspects Abu Dhabi private schools annually on a six-band rating (Outstanding / Very Good / Good / Acceptable / Weak / Very Weak), using a framework similar to KHDA's. Inspection reports are published on the ADEK portal. ADEK also accredits private nurseries, licenses school operators, and operates the Abu Dhabi private-school fee framework.
