EmaraTax is the UAE Federal Tax Authority's unified tax-filing portal, launched in 2022 to replace the older e-Services system. It is the federal platform for VAT, corporate tax, and excise tax registration, filing, and payment.
What it does
EmaraTax handles every interaction with the FTA — VAT registration above the AED 375,000 turnover threshold, periodic VAT returns, corporate tax registration (mandatory for all UAE entities including freelancers), corporate tax filing under the 0% / 9% regime, and excise registration for tobacco, sweetened drinks and energy drinks. UAE Pass login is the standard authentication route.
