MOE is the UAE Ministry of Education (وزارة التربية والتعليم), the federal regulator of public schools and the national curriculum. University accreditation is not MOE's: the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) sits under the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR).
What it does
MOE sets the curriculum framework for federal public schools (Arabic-medium, with Islamic Studies and Moral Education compulsory for nationals and resident Muslims). It also recognises private school curricula taught in the UAE — UK, IB, American, Indian, French and others.
