The National Health Insurance Company (Daman) is the UAE's largest health insurer by member count, covering most of Abu Dhabi's population through Thiqa for nationals and Enhanced plans for residents. Founded in 2006 and part-owned by the Abu Dhabi Government, it pioneered mandatory employer-funded health cover in the emirate.
